A French brand in a Danish designer department store!
When January turns to February, you can find a nice selection of the Spring/ summer collection from the more than 40-year old French brand Sinéquanone in the two stores of Illums Bolighus in Oslo; Vika and Glasmagasinet.
Illums Bolighus was originally founded in 1925 under the name of BO. After the store was purchased in 1941 by the Illum, Berg, and Trock-Jansen families, who also owned the A.C. Illum A/S department store, it was renamed Illums Bolighus A/S. The stores business concepts are: Being an attractive and inspirational shopping environment that is always at the cutting edge of both fashion and societal mores.
The brand Sinéquanone, on the other hand, was founded in the early 70's in the centre of Paris. The spirit of the brand, as we see it today, is to make outfits for most occasions in life for the urban and active woman who recognizes her femininity. Fittings, details and qualities are keywords to describe the spirit of the Sinéquanone creations. Sinéquanone presents a wide range of both classic and trendy styles for the two main seasons, offering also flash collections in order to meet the rapidly changing fashion trends. The iconic product of the brand is dresses, representing approximatley 50% of the total turnover.
Today, Sinéquanone is sold in more than 15 countries around the world, where France is, of course, the most important market. The brand has its distribution in more than 65 concept stores in the most important cities of France, as well as nice corners in the famous Galeries Lafayette department stores.
